We are proud recipients of The Michael Phelps Foundation (MPF) IM Grant, which allows us to provide swimming lessons to all of our summer campers, free of charge. MPF has produced some resources to help kids and families get through this difficult time, while staying healthy.
Today we are bringing you lessons 1 and 2 of the MPF IM Healthy Program - Talk About Your Feelings and Find Three Good Things. There are also messages from Michael! We hope these lessons help you and your child sort through their emotions during this difficult time and provide some activities to stay productive and positive.

Show feelings in a healthy way
Recognize positive feelings and difficult feelings
Michael's message: Say positive things to yourself and try to help others.
It is natural that we tend to focus on negative things and problems. In this lesson we will point out that paying attention to what goes right is important ! Paying attention to what goes right (no matter how small it is) builds positive emotions and resilience...two things we need more than ever.
The lesson gives us the opportunity to ask how someone's day is going...to realize that good things happen everyday...and to "try It" by noticing good things.
