Super Staff Saturday - A Message from Sable

This is a hard time for everyone, it was a really weird transition for me, not seeing my friends and teachers at school every day, and not seeing all the kiddos at the club every evening. Now, it's just a monotonous routine of getting up, doing what homework you have, and then having nothing else to do or nowhere else to go for the rest of the day. 

I was really looking forward to going back to school and to the club to see everyone; the amazing kids and the awesome staff, to catch up with them and start having fun again after the three weeks were over, but then they extended the quarantine. I know that it's hard for everyone, but I know that we will make it through this rough and scary time and after we will all be a little more grateful for what we have! I know that I will cherish going to school, hanging out with friends, going to the Club and seeing the kids smiling every day, going out - even if only to the grocery store. 

It's funny how you don't realize how much the little things mean to you or what little things happen every day to make life great until they're taken away. Every single day that I went into the club, the kids lifted my spirits, if I had a particularly rough day at school and went into the club, my mood would immediately lighten seeing the smiles of all the kids or when they asked me to play certain games with them. I have to say that this is more than just a job to me, it is a privilege to be able to interact with the kids and to make a sort of second family at the club. So, I can't wait until the quarantine is over and to be able to see everyone again! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe, know that I am thinking of all of you
