Super Staff Saturday - A Message from Sara

Wow. It has been a long time since we've done that! How are all of you? Are you enjoying the longest snow day ever? I don't know about all of you but the news about schools closing for the year hit me like a ton of bricks. I was so looking forward to going back to the Club in May and seeing all of your smiling faces again. Don't get me wrong, I am really soaking in this time at home with Baby Briar, who is sitting on my lap as I type this, but I sure do miss all of you.

I miss the sound of laughter and shuffling feet in the hallway.

I miss hearing knock knock jokes and doing secret handshakes.

I miss seeing the hugs Gunner gives his dad every day at pick up.

I miss hearing about Izayah's Pokemon.

I miss seeing Landon's latest Lego rocket.

I miss the look on Ava's face when she sees Penny.

I miss Ashley's artwork, full of hearts and rainbows.

I miss the sound of Silas practicing his trumpet.

I miss walking Ailee and Ellie up to gymnastics and hearing about what made them smile that day.

I miss reading books with Kamryn, Konner, and Aaden.

I miss hugs from Autumn.

I miss Daymian's hi-fives.

I miss it all. But the one thing that brings me comfort is knowing that this is temporary. We will see each other again - soon. I know that the Virtual Club isn't quite the same as seeing everyone in person but it's a way for us to bridge the gap until we're together again.
