Our lesson from the Michael Phelps Foundation this week is called "Talk to Yourself like a (Really Good) Friend." This is another great lesson for life and is very appropriate for our current situation. This lesson explains that self talk is part of our being. We will learn about using our inner voice in a positive way.


-Negative Self Talk can lead to depression and low resilience.

-Worry Self Talk can lead to anxiety

-Positive Self Talk builds optimism and helps you to believe in yourself



The lesson gives some great tools on how to change negative self talk. Most importantly, we promote the idea that SELF TALK IS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL! There are examples of how to take control of your own self talk.
